Dr. Pham received his bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry at Oregon State University in 1994 and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University, in Des Moines, Iowa in 2000. He completed a three year Family Practice Residency and served as Chief Resident at Eastmoreland Hospital in 2003. Currently, Dr. Pham is in solo practice at Rose City Family Medicine, P.C., which is located on Sandy Boulevard in the Rose Way district.
Dr. Pham is an active member in the community both publicly and professionally. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of FamilyCare, Inc., a local Medicaid program that provides health care services to over 15,000 low income Oregonians. Dr. Pham is also on the FamilyCare, Inc. Quality Management team. In addition to his involvement on various boards, Dr. Pham is on the admission committee at Des Moines University OMC and is an active mentor to many Pre-med students in the local area colleges. Dr. Pham also has the distinction of being nominated for Mentor of the Year 2005 and 2006, with the American Osteopathic Association.
Over the last two years, Dr. Pham has been Chairman of OVCA's Health Education and Prevention Forum. Furthermore, in collaboration with IRCO, Dr. Pham is currently doing research in the area of Cervical Cancer Screening and Prevention amoung Vietnamese women. He is also credited with being one of the primary developers of the Oregon Hepatitis B Task Force; the focus of this group is to educate, screen, treat, and prevent Hepatitis B, a disease which is prevalent amoung Asian-Pacific Islanders.
